Samia Bari holds an MSc in Computer Science & Engineering from United International
University, Dhaka. Her professional career began as a software engineer at LEADS Corporation,
where she spent over three years building core banking systems, trade finance modules and RESTful APIs —
writing production code in C# and ASP.NET, contributing to a full platform rebuild, and mentoring
junior developers along the way.
A deliberate career break was used to complete the MSc, earn professional certifications in
ASP.NET Core and UX design, publish a WCAG 2.1 accessibility audit of Bangladeshi government
digital services, and begin building independently. She currently contributes to business
operations, product quality assurance, project coordination and technical recruitment at
WeeTools OÜ, an Estonia-based software service provider.
Alongside technical work, she has developed serious practical skills in sewing, pattern-making
and garment construction over several years — directly informing how SARWA approaches design.
Cooking and baking are an equally long-standing practice, approached with the same attention to
technique. Both feed into the honest, experience-based editorial voice of GrumpyPeach.
